Contract Management

Contract management is primarily concerned with the proper management of funding and service agreements between THS and its funding bodies as listed on the Funding page of this website.  These agreements are legally binding contracts between THS and its funding bodies.

Ultimate responsibility for THS’s responsibilities under these contracts lies with the Board.  However all staff have some level of responsibility in ensuring these responsibilities are met.   The Business Manager prepares contract management briefs in relation to each agreement.  The aim of these briefs is to identify key requirements, such as planning and reporting requirements, that key staff need to be aware of.   

Outsourcing

THS outsources a range of functions which can be done more effectively by other agencies rather than by staff employed by THS.   Currently THS has ongoing arrangements with:
  • Basso Newman Chartered Accountants (for accounting and financial management support)
  • ADP Payroll and HR Solutions (for salary payments)
  • Maxxia (for salary sacrificing arrangements)
  • MGA Insurance Brokers (for insurance brokerage services)
  • Neutex (for maintenance and development of IT systems and connections)
  • IR 2000 (for industrial relations advice)
THS also purchases the services of various consultants and other professionals, such as lawyers, architects, builders, on an as needed basis. For example THS recently contracted the services of a quality improvement consultant to help prepare THS for accreditation. We have also contracted the services of a lawyer to assist with the paperwork required for the construction of a new staff house.
